I’m originally from Lowell and watched you fight all the time at the Lowell Auditorium at the Gloves. I never missed your fights because you were the best!

Dicky ,I hope you can help me w/my boxing team. We plan on visiting w/you this sumer. We are doing car washes and stuff to raise money to travel to Lowell . I had a Gym in Manchester, N.H. and Gilberto Brown and his Dad and Brothers trained w/Edwin Santana, Mel Peabody and others. You boxed the ears off the Boxing Team in Norfolk Prison when I was doing time there for Banking in a socially unacceptable manner. Tom McNeeley was the Recreation guy back then. I fought his son Peter in Lowell in 1991. You were training for Sugar Ray then. Do you remember hanging out w/me in Manchester? You called my dippy girlfriend “sneakers”. see you this summer your friend..j Mike Sampson
I saw the fight w/Leonard and thought you deserved the decision! Despite what the ref said you DID knock Ray down and you were the more aggressive fighter that night!
